So Happy!

Can I just take a minute to say how blessed we are? I was terrified to move six months ago... a new house, new people at church, new neighbors... This move has been such a blessing. I have learned that I am capable of making new friends... it's not nearly as scary as I thought it would be. Yes, I had to step out of my comfort zone a bit, try to be a bit more outgoing... but it is worth it to know I can!

And our home! It is just peaceful. Quiet. (Day AND night!) The other night, We sat on our deck looking at the lake, watching bugs fry in our handy new bug zapper. And it was fun! Just swinging and visiting... The loudest noise we heard was the sizzling of mosquitos! (and the sound of a coyote?) We saw bats diving for bugs too!

This evening, Robbie took the girls to the Reservoir. He called me when they were at the back of the lake so I could see them from the deck. I ran out with the camera and took pictures. It is just so fun to live here. It's neat to see them enjoying time together so close to home. Life is good!

We're so happy for you! I'm glad things are good, even if you do have new friends now... :) We'll have to record some of the old sounds for you so you don't forget your past... fire engines, loud thumping music, the occasional domestic dispute out in the street... what fun!

I can't imagine you would have a hard time making new friends. But moving can be scary.

Aurora really sounds like a fun place to live. Is the reservoir big enough for water skiing?

This is more of a water supply reservoir, so only rowing or electric motors are allowed on... Cherry Creek reservoir down the road accomodates water skiing, though!

Sounds like things are going so well for you! I think sometimes a fresh start is a very good thing - I am truly finding this, too. Good for you guys! Glad to know about your blog so I can keep up with you. Your kids are getting so big!!!
