Will's Words

I have a friend who had a Dr. appointment last week, so I watched her kids. You know how they make you wait for eeeeevvvvver in the waiting room! So she was reading a parenting magazine article about the fact that the average girl speaks over 100 words by 18 months, and the average boy speaks (I think) 16 words around 18 months.... wow! What does that say about us wordy sisters!!! Anyway, in this spirit, I thought I would post the words that Will can speak at this point... just for posterity :-)
1. Gross
2. ball
3. bubbles
4. ont down (I want down)
5. all done
6. da-deeee (daddy)
7. mama
8. eyes
9. nose
10. no-no
11. ya (hmmm. should I be working on my grammar here?)
12. yes (I guess I am doing fine with grammar!)
13. shyews (shoes)
14. yocks (socks)
15. cokit (chocolate is one of his first three words... what does that say about me?)
16. toes
17. dink (drink)
18. (My personal favorite... not really a word yet...) He came to me making rasberry fart noises yesterday while holding his bum... telling me he needed a diaper change. It was hilarious!

He also attempts to say his sisters names and I am sure I forgot some words...

Will has lots of words. Leah is struggling in that department. I agree #18 was too funny!

Isabel had 50 words by 14 months, way more than the boys. Girls sure are wordy! I love having boys and a girl, to see how they complement differences in each other. Will has quite a varied repertoire of words (and sounds!).
