Galveston in January

Will's first day at the beach!!! Getting ready to take off shoes and socks so that he can feel the sand between his toes. He loved the feeling of the water and sand running under his feet. He also enjoyed chasing seagulls and picking up seashells. He ran and yelled and waved his arms.
Abby instantly started her searh for seashells. She wanted to build a sandcastle and embellish with the shells. She got sidetracked from that project when she saw how much fun the other 2 were having in the water!

This was from before we all decided to shed our socks n shoes and roll up our pants!

This is the best picture to capture the pure joy Makenzie felt upon arrival at a beach. She has such a wonderful trip awhile back when she and Robbie went to CA. They stopped at a beach and played. Since then, she talks about it all the time. This was a fun way for her to share with her siblings how wonderful a beach can be.

Robbie snapped this as we were getting ready to leave the beach. I think it's a really cool shot!

Robbie found some chips in the car and brought them back to feed the seagulls. They swarmed like crazy. They were inches from our heads, hovering and waiting for a bite to eat. I love all the different poses from the different birds!

After the beach, we drove around looking at the island. We saw lots of damage from the hurricane. Our battery was nearly dead, so I was able to get only one more picture.

That looks like so much fun! I am jealous that it is so warm there! It's very snowy here :(
