Happy Independence Day!

I hope everyone enjoyed July 4th! In honor of our independence, we did our nails. (Here are Makenzie's digits!) Of course, while doing nails, we discussed the importance of this day. In the evening, we had a picnic at the City Center in anticipation of fireworks! We had the same location as last year, which was an amazing view. Oddly, the same people were next to us this year too...

We were able to hang out with a lovely woman and her two sweet little boys while waiting for the fireworks show. While chatting I found out that her husband is in the military and was recently deployed. I am so grateful for her family and all the others who are willing to serve and protect our country!

Those are some awesome looking digits! You must have a steady hand!

Isn't the Aurora Fireworks show great? We watched it form Wheeling Elementary School. It was so fun!
