OH CANADA! Robbie went on his bear hunt/fishing trip at Reindeer Lake last week. Here is a beautiful shot of part of the lake. It's enormous! Hundreds of miles of shore line!

The only way to get to this lodge is by water! Boat, or this handy yellow boat/plane. It's on an indian reservation somewhere in Canada (sort of by Saskatoon?)

Here is a northern pike he caught. Nearly all fish caught in the lake were this size! Can you imagine reeling this baby in! He had such a great time, he really didn't want to leave. Apparently the guy who owns this place is going to sell. He's had it for a couple decades and wants to retire in Nebraska on this farm!

This fish is a rare one I guess. I can't remember the name, but the record is 21" and Robbie's was 18". All at the lodge were impressed!

Here is the bear he killed. Quite the method to entice the bear --> They use rotten beaver, put it in a barrel. There is a hole in the side of the barrel that they wedge a log. When the bear smells the delectable rotting smell, it comes and tries to get the log out of the barrel. That's when you take the shot! We will be turning this bad boy into a lovely floor rug! It will take a few months to process (or whatever that term would be...) I will show pictures of our rug when it's done!
