Aurora Reservoir hosted an annual Kid's Fishing Derby today. Robbie took the girls out on our little boat and spent a few hours fishing. Thanks to Abby, Robbie was able to reel in a shoe... a green Croc, more specifically :-)
Here they are heading out first thing in the morning. Will and I stayed on the beach and visited with all sorts of friends we ran into. Fun times!
No fish were caught today, but the smiles I saw when they came back to shore proved that fishing really doesn't require the actual catching of fish to enjoy the time! The water was very choppy thanks to the wind, but the girls were still brave enough to go on the boat... and they had a wonderful time!

How cute! I love that they caught a croc; did it go tick, tock, like the one in 'Peter Pan'?
I just watched the videos of your kids - Abby's recital cracked me up. She is so cute, and I had to laugh at the half-size 'director' she was dancing next to. She certainly kept them all 'in line'. lol!
Now Zak thinks we should have a little boat too! :)
